Why San Bruno pet parents choose at-home care
San Bruno is a city where taking your dog out takes planning: Commodore Park holds the only dog area in the entire city park system, and Junipero Serra Park up the hill is leash-only. A grooming visit that comes to the house removes one more trip from that list.

Where San Bruno dogs actually spend their time
Knowing where a dog walks tells us what we will find in the coat before we open the van.
- San Bruno Dog Park at Commodore Park
- the only City of San Bruno park where dogs are allowed
- Junipero Serra County Park
- 108 acres behind San Bruno and Millbrae, on leash only, with views over SFO and the Bay
What that means for your dog’s coat
Most San Bruno dogs we see are city dogs — regular sidewalk and park time rather than trail or beach. That means less grit and more of the ordinary things: nails that outrun their walks on pavement, ears that need a routine, and a coat that does best on a steady 4-to-6-week rhythm rather than an emergency de-matting twice a year.
Getting to your door in San Bruno
Plenty of homes here are condos and apartments with no tub a large dog fits in, and no yard to dry off in. That is precisely the gap the van fills — the whole bath, dry and finish happens outside your door.
